At the end of September, the female lynx Luna from the wild cat village of Hütscheroda in northern Italy was released into the wild in Tarvisio. The reintroduction is part of the UlyCA project, which aims to establish a stable lynx population in the south-eastern Alps. Luna was born in May 2023 and was specially prepared for release into the wild. She could give birth to her first cubs in 2025.
