Our project film documents the unique journey of the female lynx Frieda and the male lynx Viorel, who were successfully released into the wild in the Thuringian Forest in May 2023 as part of the project “Lynx Thuringia – Connecting Europe’s Lynx.”

The film not only showcases the practical steps of the release but also highlights the long-term goals and vision of sustainably reintroducing the lynx in Thuringia. It becomes clear that the lynx is not just a symbol of successful species conservation work, but also plays an important role in the ecosystem of the Thuringian Forest.
